It’s been another week full of planes for me. But this week I’ve actually been on the planes. I’ve travelled through 3 airports including one that I’ve been longing to review for quite some time: Los Angeles International Airport (IATA: LAX). And I was lucky enough to meet up with the airport’s public relations person who gave me a fantastic tour through the airport and even showed me some real secrets of what to do when you have ample time at LAX. The story of the week for me though was when we found out about Cyndi Lauper (you know, the “girls just wanna have fun” singer) calming down angry passenger that got stranded at Buenos Aires International airport (IATA: EZE). What did she do? Correct, she gave an impromptu concert. Watch the video here.
Then there was news about the opening of Dubai’s new Al Maktoum airport being further delayed until 2012. Once fully operational, the Emirates second airport will be the world’s largest with a passenger capacity of 160 Million per year, wrote Reuters.
The library, which opened last week, features about 30 iPads and other devices that each offer 400 titles, as well as 2,000 physical Chinese and English language books.
